Job Description

  • Provide day-to-day user support for QAD software-related issues.
  • Leverage utilization of QAD for Business benefits, like scalability and Process orientation in the organization.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify areas for process optimization using QAD software.
  • Implement MRP Module of QAD in collaboration with various stakeholders
  • Implement Production Scheduling module (Routing etc.) in collaboration with various stakeholders
  • Train users on the effective usage of QAD software and its advanced features.
  • Implement and manage software upgrades and patches.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software-related problems efficiently.

Hardware Expertise

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues, including networking problems.
  • Ensure the smooth functioning of hardware components like servers, workstations, and networking equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on hardware to prevent issues and downtime.
  • Coordinate with external hardware vendors for procurement and maintenance purposes.
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Integration and Collaboration

  • Work on integrating QAD software with other systems if needed.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the alignment of hardware and software strategies.
  • Provide insights to improve the overall IT infrastructure, considering both software and hardware aspects.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain documentation for troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and hardware configurations.
  • Generate regular reports on software and hardware performance, issues, and resolutions.

Requirements

  • In-depth expertise in QAD software and its modules.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware-related issues.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for both software and hardware challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with various teams and users.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest developments in QAD software and hardware technologies

Qualifications and Experience

  • Engineering degree with relevant experience of QAD and Hardware maintenance
  • 8 to 10 years of experience
